             The pyramid of Khafre, 4th Dynasty (c2613-c2494BC) with the sun's rays.

 The temp was in the lower 60's with a stiff breeze blowing.

  Our "T" shirts arrived and were put to the test.

    The pyramids of Khafre, Khufu, and Menkaure. Khufu's Pyramid and Menkaure's Pyramid were also from the 4th Dynasty. Khufu's Pyramid was surrounded by 5 boat pits. See the Solar Boat.

  The face of the Sphinx bears the likeness of Khafre. The complex that accompanied his pyramid, was 360 feet long and had 2 pylons, granite roof and columns, and an alabaster floor. A lot was quarried away but some, still remains.
